Vintage Horn & Bone Checkerboard Inlay Bohemian Bangle Bracelet, New
- This beautiful bracelet is new and part of a vintage lot originally imported from India in the late 70's. The bracelet is made of water buffalo horn which has been hand-carved and inlayed with bone squares for a dramatic, checkered board effect. These bracelets are made in a rustic manner, the horn and bone have natural characteristics such as pores, color zoning, inclusions or cracks. Each bracelet is handmade and vary slightly from one bracelet to the next. This bracelet is intended for a medium to large wrist; on the average, the interior diameter of the bracelet is 2.4" with a hinged peg-style closure. The metal uséd traditionally for these bracelets is tin and over time develops oxidation. Most bracelets available have some degree of oxidation; the age gives it character.
